The list below represents the Grounded “Kula” or community of teachers that have completed Grounded training(s). The directory can be filtered by using the drop down category menu to select the level of training teachers have obtained. Level indicates the following:
- Grounder: Successfully completed one Grounded training module
- Elevating Grounder: Actively pursuing certification.
- Certified Elevated Grounder: Successfully completed the requirements for 95 hour Yoga Alliance Certification

I am a teacher, but also a constant learner.
Sona is a certified RYT® 200, RCYT®, and RPYT® yoga teacher. Influenced by her charismatic yogi grandfather, boundless wisdom of her father, and strong academicbackground, Sona was drawn to yoga and meditation since childhood. She has been a practitioner of yoga for over 10 years. She passionately integrates healthy dose of physical, mental and spiritual power of yoga in her teachings. Sona will take you on a journey of self-awareness, sense of balance, discovering strength, and inner peace. She inspires challenging, focused, energetic, and friendly environment for each of her students to deepen their yoga practice on and off the mat.
Sona holds B.S. in Mathematics/Physics, B.S. in Accounting, and B.A. in Dance. She is a certified Usui Reiki Master. She is also trained in classical Indian music and is fluent in four languages including Sanskrit. Sona carries deep understanding of ancient wisdom of Vedanta philosophy and is well versed in Bhagawad Gita, Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and Upanishads. Sona continuously strives to expand her knowledge on each of these subjects.
While off the mat, Sona works in finance industry and enjoys traveling, photography, biking, reading, volunteering, and spending time with friends and family.
